UK Cricket Tour day 1:

Today the tour group arrived in London. After dropping our bags off at our hotel we went sightseeing. We saw the National Gallery, Westminster Palace, 10 Downing Street, Big Ben, the Mall, Buckingham Palace, and the changing of the guard.

After a quick tube ride we arrived at Lords Cricket Ground and watched Australia vs New Zealand.  Nick O’Shea, Lachie Harmer, Edson Whattam and Oscar Bradley showed up with fake mullets and fake moustaches, which certainly provided us all entertainment. After a quick collapse, the Australians were able to turn their innings around thanks to Alex Carey and Usman Khawaja, and reached a respectable total of 243. Australia then bowled out New Zealand for 157 and then won by 86 runs. There were two great catches by Martin Guptill and Steve Smith respectively. Some boys were treated to a tour of Lords from Mr. Turner, who somehow knew everything there is to know about the ground. Special shoutout goes to Aaron Wiliams who got harassed by a drunk spectator.

We start our campaign tomorrow, with both the First and Second XI playing Goggleshall CC.
