Learning this course/topic can teach me a lot of things about the past and present. One of them would be the cultural habits of an ancient Chinese society. From studying games and leisure, I can learn the role of education, religion and the government. The types of games which were played in the past display the different cultures. In addition, the games and the leisure display different religions. Learning the ways the games were made teaches me the difference between the games in the present and the games in the past. For example, bones were used to make game equipment, today we would never use bones. What I hope to get from this semester is the knowledge about materials, types of games and the leisure in the past. Furthermore, I would like to learn the differences between games and leisure in the past and the present.
